Each artist brings their individual creativity and vision, contributing to a rich tapestry of artistic expression. United in our mission, we are committed to using art as a medium for change, inspiring others and fostering dialogue within the community. Our collaborative efforts enhance our work, ensuring that we produce the highest quality art possible. Together, we strive to make a meaningful impact through our collective creativity.

FLYOCHO

For me art began when I was in high school but my career in art began in college. In 1991 I attended SCAD and then transferred to ACA in ‘92. During my college years I explored every medium the colleges had to offer and became equally interested in the entire process of creating. My work has always included many layers of imagery as well some pieces are made entirely of braille letters encouraging the visually impaired to interact. During my junior year of college my best friend and I started our own design firm. We began working with clothing stores,  skate shops and small businesses. Design then led me to painting and painting led me to having gallery shows and selling artworks  to a national audience. With 33 years of practice my goal is to work in my community to help grow an appreciation for art and artistic expression. I aim to have my own studio and gallery space downtown Jacksonville, Florida so that I can hold open studio sessions and free studio space to community members to share a passionate healing experience.

GRAM

Living in a small town with just one caution light crochet has been a tradition in my family for generations. My mother Toby has inspired me to continue this craft and I hope to carry on this tradition to help the world with my art. Crocheting brings me joy and I find peace in creating beautiful pieces that can bring happiness to others. I am grateful for the skill that has been passed down to me and I look forward to sharing it with the world.

ODDLINGS

The artist studied at the University of Florida until 1998, concentrating on photography and drawing. Currently residing in Jacksonville, Florida, they specialize in mixed media using found objects. A pivotal moment in their creative journey arose when they began utilizing bookends as blank canvases for their 'Postal Art Therapy' series. Through layers of muted imagery and paint, the artist expresses personal trauma, akin to bruising that emerges post-conflict. Their work serves as a healing medium, aiming not only to process their own experiences but also to inspire and assist others in overcoming their life challenges.
